OUR MISSION

Use food to nurture a generation of more curious, courageous, and compassionate kids.

What We Believe

It's a big world out there—with big challenges, different people, and ever-changing ideas. We believe the best chance we and our children have for personal and practical success is the ability to be open-minded and adaptable.

What if we told you we could get there with just a fork?

One bite at a time, when kids try new foods in ways that are tactile, sensory, and engaging, something magical happens — they discover that what seemed unfamiliar might just be the most delicious thing they've ever tried. And that changes everything.

Curious. When kids wonder about the stories behind food, they learn to ask questions about the world beyond their own experience.

Courageous. Tasting something new invites kids to practice engaging with things that feel different or even scary at first.

Compassionate. Learning to appreciate what others value teaches children to look out for one another.

Why We Do This

Our children are growing up in the most digitally interconnected world in history, constantly exposed to messages that highlight division and difference. What they need most is genuine human connection—real life opportunities to discover what we all share in common.

The beautiful thing about eating? It can't be simulated.

It's a basic human need, which makes it an everyday practice: the perfect vehicle to teach and connect in the present moment. The perfect conversation starter for other cultures. The perfect way to mindfully raise a global citizen.

We want to see more curiosity, courage, and compassion in the world. And we think it starts at the dinner table, in the lunch box, and even with the snack before soccer practice.

"This program started what has become an ongoing conversation in our classrooms, cafeterias, and homes. Bringing this into our district is helping us create more equitable and joyful spaces for all students, where their differences are truly celebrated."

"The characters introduced as part of the program have our son more curious about the way food can teach him about cultures than we ever imagined. Not only is it a way for him to learn new things, it's also gotten him excited to try new things!"
